How ACG Came Together
ACG was formed around the belief that sustainable growth requires more than capital, advice, or a transaction alone. It requires partners who understand how businesses actually operate, from leadership decisions and team structure to financial discipline, operational execution, and long-term planning. This practical perspective gives ACG a deeper understanding of what businesses need before, during, and after a transaction.
What they built is a firm grounded in private markets, family office strategy, and hands-on operational leadership. That combination allows ACG to look at opportunities from multiple angles and stay involved beyond the surface level. The goal was never to build a firm that simply talks strategy. It was to build one that does the real work.
Louisiana is still central to that story. With offices in Baton Rouge and Lafayette, ACG brings institutional discipline together with regional knowledge and long-term relationships. Daniel brings nearly two decades of experience across private investing and capital allocation, with a particular emphasis on investment strategy. He focuses on cultivating key relationships and strengthening leadership teams to build durable, high-performing businesses.
Daniel works closely across the firm’s investment process and operations to support disciplined decision-making, strengthen leadership structures, and align business strategy with long-term value creation. Daniel has built and scaled complex family office and investment platforms, implemented governance frameworks that improve accountability, and worked closely with management teams and investors to execute thoughtful, long-term strategies.
Prior to launching Acadian Capital Group, Daniel spent more than a decade in senior
leadership in the family office space, where he was responsible for investment diligence, portfolio oversight, governance design, and post-transaction execution across operating companies, real assets, and private investments. This experience provided exposure to the full ownership lifecycle from acquisitions and liquidity events to operational scaling and exit planning.
Daniel earned a BS in Finance from Louisiana State University. Outside of work, Daniel is a devoted husband and father of three. He is actively involved in community and philanthropic initiatives, serving in several nonprofit organizations.

Skip directs the firm’s private market investments and mergers and acquisitions advisory. With deep experience in middle-market transactions, he helps clients identify, evaluate, and execute strategic opportunities across sectors.
Skip is the driving force behind the firm’s private market investing and acquisition strategy. With a background that spans engineering, operations, and venture investing, Skip brings a pragmatic approach to diligence, deal structuring, and execution. Before joining ACG, he founded Acadian Capital Ventures, Lafayette’s first venture capital firm, and built a portfolio of successful investments across technology, industrials, and business services. Recognized by Silicon Bayou News as one of the 100 most influential people in Louisiana’s startup scene, Skip continues to champion entrepreneurship and capital growth across the region.
A lifelong Lafayette resident, Skip holds both a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering and an MBA from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Outside of work, he serves on the board of The Beaver Club of Lafayette and has been active on several nonprofit boards. He enjoys camping and supporting the Ragin’ Cajuns.

Gaines oversees the operational management of portfolio companies and direct holdings. His focus on value creation, governance, and execution ensures that private assets perform in line with client expectations.
Gaines leads ACG’s Private Market Operations and provides executive oversight across a diverse portfolio of companies. His leadership is defined by a culture-first approach, a hands-on management style, and a commitment to building high-performing teams.
Before joining ACG, Gaines built and scaled businesses in the data destruction and fuel services industries, achieving multiple successful exits and recapitalizations. He also serves as President-Elect of i-SIGMA, the international trade association for secure data destruction and information governance, where he helps shape global industry standards.
A graduate of Louisiana State University with both a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and an MBA in Entrepreneurship, Gaines combines analytical insight with an entrepreneurial mindset. Outside of work, he and his wife, Del, enjoy spending time with their two children, Mai and Park. He is active in community organizations and enjoys playing golf, hunting, and supporting his kids’ activities.

Ryan currently serves as CEO of Louisiana Concrete Products.
